Fix connection and unfinished dictations
Reconnect Mach when a dictation cannot start, repeatedly stops, or never returns text.

Reconnect Mach
- 1Confirm that another website loads on your Mac.
- 2Open Mach from the menu bar.
- 3Choose Reset Connection.
- 4Wait a moment, then try one short dictation.
If the session still fails
- 1Quit Mach completely.
- 2Reopen it from Applications.
- 3Confirm that you are still signed in.
- 4Try again in TextEdit with a short phrase.
What the overlay should show
Mach keeps overlay errors short and actionable. Internal server addresses, provider messages, and other technical details should never appear there.
When to contact support
If other websites work but Mach repeatedly cannot connect, contact support with the approximate time of the failure, your macOS version, and whether Reset Connection changed the result.
