Mach cannot hear you
- 1Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
- 2Make sure Mach is enabled.
- 3In Dictation Settings, confirm the intended microphone is selected.
- 4Quit and reopen Mach after changing a macOS permission.
The transcript does not paste
- 1Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
- 2Make sure Mach is enabled.
- 3Place the cursor in an editable text field before dictating.
- 4Try a simple field such as TextEdit to separate an app-specific issue from a Mach issue.
A dictation cannot connect or finish
- 1Confirm that your Mac has a working internet connection.
- 2Open Mach from the menu bar and choose Reset Connection.
- 3Try a short dictation again.
- 4If it still fails, quit and reopen Mach.
Mach shows short, user-safe error messages in the dictation overlay. Technical server details are not shown there.
