Usage and plans
- Free includes 2,500 words per month.
- Pro is $6 per month for unlimited words.
- Successful dictated output counts toward usage.
- Cancelled, empty, failed, or timed-out sessions should not count.
What Mach processes
During an active dictation, Mach sends audio for speech recognition and, in Refined mode, sends the transcript for AI cleanup. Account, settings, usage, diagnostic, and billing metadata may also be processed to operate the service.
What Mach retains
Mach is designed not to store raw audio or transcript text in backend analytics by default. Dictation records use metadata such as timing, status, selected language, mode, and word count.
Your controls
- Sign out of Mach to disconnect the Mac app from your account.
- Revoke Microphone or Accessibility access in macOS System Settings.
